Plowshares hosts regular jazz music every Sunday at their Harlem location from 2:00-4:30pm, and Thu will be singing there with acclaimed NYC bassist and educator, Will Lyle, and his trio on Sunday, December 14th!! Thu is so excited to conclude her week in NYC with this beautifully intimate and comfortably warm venue.

The acoustics are amazing, with their 100 yr old Kurtzman Piano and Gretsch drum set ready to welcome you and musicians. There is also a jam session, so come enjoy the performance, share your talent with us, and enjoy an afternoon in a comfortable setting with great food, coffee and beer, wine, and cider!

Thu's ensemble features the finest, internationally touring, jazz recording artists: Anthony Wonsey on piano, Will Lyle on upright bass, and Minchan Kim on drums.

Anthony Wonsey is an adventurous pianist with chops to burn. He is part of Vincent Herring’s Earth Jazz Agents, and has worked with Carmen Lundy, Russell Malone, Wynton Marsalis, Jim Rotondi, Adonis Rose and Scott Wendholt. He has recorded two albums as leader with Christian McBride on bass and Carl Allen on drums.

Having graduated from Berklee College of Music and Manhattan School of Music (Masters), Will Lyle has rocketed swiftly up the music circuit. He has toured and played major jazz festivals all around the world and with GRAMMY-award winning artists. At such a young age, he has also become a prolific music educator, designing online tools for aspiring players and pros alike to save time and sharpen their skills.

Minchan Kim is a fluid and dynamic drummer who toured Europe with Martin Zenker right after graduation, and continued touring in the Americas and Asia. He’s performed with Kenny Washington, Jin Pureum, Jesse Davis and the Hyejin Quartet. In 2023, he received second prize at the distinguished Kurt Mass Jazz Award.
